Strategic Innovation Development

In this day and age, a strong leader must be aware of the business environment, which is made dynamic and ever changing because of technological progress. At Groves Consulting, we believe that the combination of leadership competencies and strategic acumen in a disruptive environment are keys for success in organizations. Therefore, together with leadership development programs, we offer a program to equip leaders to develop strategies for digital innovation and transformations, considering the disruption underway by technologies such as artificial intelligence and 3D technologies, among others.

development of a vision

Leaders must equip the organization with a vision on where technology is headed and how it will affect their respective industry. In this initial step of the program, we guide leaders and their teams in the development of a vision, based on recognition of technological trends, the consequent technological innovations underway for the present and the future, and the implications on how the industry is bound to evolve based on these developments.

strategy development

Once a vision has been developed, the next step is to determine the company’s strategic positioning with this vision in mind. We support this next step in our program, with interactive sessions to develop a strategy for technological innovation. One of the main necessary determinations is whether a technological transformation of the organization is merited along the 3 P’s: Product, Process, or People; or alternatively, whether a set of incremental innovations along those same dimensions will suffice. Innovations related to people will impact the talent development needs of the organization, so the outcomes of this strategic development effort are bound to influence the content and design of subsequent leadership development programs.

action plan

Once the vision and strategy are agreed upon, the final step in the program is to develop a plan to enhance the strategic position of the company in the long-term. The product is a set of specific short-term, medium-term, and long-term actions, including pursuits around talent development and a technology investment plan that stems from the strategic positioning.
